Bournemouth Education Arts Foundation makes art accessible to all. It creates inspiring spaces, programmes and opportunities that support artist development and connect communities through creative health initiatives, enriching and delivering culture across the central south.

Community & Inclusivity
BEAF is rooted in Boscombe: a diverse and creative community located on the south-coast of England. Here we are led by our community to build inclusive spaces and programmes that are open, supportive and inspiring. With our communities, we make creative activities happen where participation and engagement are at its core, and where all voices are heard, and everyone is welcome.
Creative Health
BEAF’s community programmes connect with local people to support their health and well-being through accessible, participatory activities, helping to reduce isolation and giving space for the community to take the lead, to empower, motivate and influence change in our society.
Creativity & Development
BEAF creates the space to support and nurture the future generation of creatives who may have experienced barriers to accessing creativity and education due to class, health, neurodiversity, race, gender, or other factors. We offer studios, exhibition spaces, professional development programmes, mentoring, training, as well as a place to meet to help build a resilient and active creative sector.
Sustainability & Growth
BEAF takes the lead in the growth of accessible, meaningful, quality activity for our communities for the long term – while acting as guardians to our Grade II listed building, our share-ownership properties, our studios and our community garden. We’re committed to ensuring we create a positive impact on the world around us: our natural environment and climate, as well as the people and communities we are part of. Our sustainable model of workspace provision, hireable spaces, business support, exhibition and community programmes are core values to sustain and grow our charity.

Recreate DORSET – The trust
RECREATE DORSET, formerly Bournemouth 2026 Trust is a Community Land Trust and a Development Trust. The Trust’s Vision is for a sustainable Bournemouth which has thriving, inclusive communities in which all groups have a voice.
The Mission is to make a lasting and worthwhile difference to the overall quality of life in Bournemouth.
Gladstone Mews is the Trust’s housing project, a development of affordable homes completed in 2014. The development includes 9, two-bedroom and 1, three-bedroom energy efficient houses and an accessible bungalow all with private gardens, parking and a shared community space.
Properties are offered through a shared ownership scheme which ensures the house prices are affordable and remain affordable after they are sold on to the next buyer. The homes cannot be sublet or be used as second homes. Priority for the ownership is given to people from Boscombe. The Mews are on the same site as TOSH, The Old School House, our grade II listed artist studios community space available for hire.
